The Wasco County Citizens For Human Dignity is a group loosely tied with the local Democratic Party. The mission of the Wasco County Citizens For Human Dignity is "to defend and safeguard human rights and promote peace." This group puts on an anti-war rally at The Dalles Post Office every Friday at 5:00 p.m.

The organization also raise local support for the Great American Boycott of May 1, 2006. The WCCHD helped organize a March, and rally in The Dalles Oregon which started at aproximatly 10:30 a.m. and ended at aproximatly 1:00 p.m. The march at its highest point had 700 mostly hispanic protesters. The march was seen as a sueccesful and peaceful event with only one heckler who was shortly detained by police. the police reported few complaints, and passing motorists were generally positive with a few thumbs down and middle fingers raised.
