The Washington Times-Herald was an American daily newspaper once published in Washington, D.C.

The Times-Herald was created by the 1939 merger of two former Hearst dailies, the Washington Times (not to be confused with the current Washington Times) and the Washington Herald . Cissy Patterson ran the merged publication until her death in 1948; it was subsequently purchased by her cousin, Robert R. McCormick. Both Patterson and McCormick maintained an arch-conservative editorial stance for the paper.

In 1954 the Times-Herald was purchased by, and merged into, its liberal rival, the Washington Post. For a time the combined paper was officially known as the Washington Post and Times-Herald. The "Times-Herald" portion of the masthead became less and less prominent in ensuing years, however, and was dropped entirely by the early 1970s.
