Watanabe Moritsuna

(1542-1620) Watanabe Moritsuna, known as "Spear Hanzō" due to his remarkable skills with the spear.
Moritsuna served under Tokugawa Ieyasu since the year of 1577. He was a very loyal general. He served Ieyasu during the Battle of Mikatagahara, the Battle of Nagashino, along with the Battle of Anegawa. He led an elite foot unit called the "Hanamoto" guard in the Battle of Komaki-Nagakute. After Tokugawa Leyasu entered the Kanto region, Moritsune was awarded with the territory of Musashi.
