We'll Pass refers to a community awareness & action group spanning several Midwestern states. It centers on organizing communities against drunkenness and drugs, especially cannabis.

Origin

"We'll Pass" refers to a stoner saying when one does not to smoke anymore marijuana. In 2004, several AOL forums allowed residents of the same neighborhood to share grievances. For some, those grievances included neighbors using drugs, drinking, and\or public drunkenness. Neighborhoods in Pittsburgh, PA, specifically that of Squirrell Hill and Oakland, banded together in online communities to discuss ways to confront the sources of their grievances, and attempt to raise community awareness of the problems. Eventually these efforts led to the creation of a formal group to oversee the strategy of the nascent activists.

The group's website (http://wellpassparents.blogspot.com), went online on October 1st, 2005. They seek to raise community awareness about irresponsibility and garner community support for neighborhood interventions to deal with persistent drug presences. The spread flyers and photograph "stoners" in Stoner Hunts (they claim the "stoners" are high as a result of their being at convenience stores at late hours of the night).

Controversy

Several individuals accused of being "stoners" in We'll Pass productions, have compalimed to legal authorities about the groups intrusion and harassment. No law suits have yet been filed against We'll Pass, though several have been threatened.
