We're no Angels is a 1955 comedy picture starring Humphrey Bogart, Peter Ustinov and Aldo Ray. Was remade in 1989 with Robert De Niro (see We're no Angels (1989 film)). It is also a 1993 Japanese film (俺達は天使じゃない; Oretachi wa tenshi ja nai) directed by Takashi Miike and featuring Ren Osugi, Junji Inagawa and Makiko Kuno.
Plot summary
Three convicts escape from Devil's Island and arrive at a nearby French colonial town. Initially they plan to steal supplies and clothing from the local store, but they take a liking to the store owner's family (more specifically his attractive daughter) and decide to stay and help them overcome many difficulties.Release date
