Wendell Phillips Garrison

Wendell Phillips Garrison (1840-1907) was an American editor and author.

He was born at Cambridgeport, Massachusetts, a son of William Lloyd Garrison. He graduated at Harvard in 1861 and was literary editor of the Nation from 1865 to 1906. He had assisted E. L. Godkin in establishing the magazine. Henry Villard, who joined the Nation and the Evening Post was Garrison's brother-in-law.

W. P. Garrison contributed to periodicals, compiled Bedside Poetry: a Parents' Assistant (1887), and wrote:
