Wendy Testaburger is a fictional character in the animated series South Park. Wendy has been voiced by four people during the series' run: Mary Kay Bergman, Mona Marshall, Eliza Schneider, and recently April Stewart. In the original unaired version of Cartman Gets an Anal Probe, Wendy was voiced by Rochelle Leffler. She is arguably the smartest and sweetest classmate of the girls, often spouting out support for any liberal cause (much to Cartman's chagrin). Her best friend is a blond-haired girl named Bebe. She wears a pink beret, a purple jacket, and yellow pants. She also wears dark blue mittens (rather than purple, as seen in the image at right). Underneath her beret is a head of long black hair with bangs. Wendy's character is based on Liane Adamo, a former love interest of South Park creator Trey Parker. She is also said to based on Wendy Gamsey, a girl from Fairplay, Colorado [link]

Wendy's character as a liberal and a feminist is sometimes inconsistent in various episodes. In the Season 6 episode "Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society", Wendy gets breast implants because of her jealousy towards Bebe's developing breasts and the attention she gets from male classmates, and in spite of her mother's concerns. In a later episode, Wendy is the only girl unaffected by the growing popularity of Paris Hilton and questions whether Hilton is a good role model for young girls.

In the show's beginning, Wendy was mostly important as Stan Marsh's crush. Wendy would often attempt to talk with Stan, which would make him so nervous he would vomit, causing Wendy to scream "Ew!" and leave.

Early on in the series, Wendy became Stan's girlfriend, but later in the series they seemed to lose interest in each other. She officially broke up with Stan in the Season 7 episode "Raisins." It seems that she now dates Token, though her only role of prominence since this episode, "Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset", does not make it clear if the relationship is ongoing. In , she displayed feelings for another character, Gregory of Yardale, who has not appeared in any subsequent episode since the movie was released. However, Stan seemed to still show feelings for her in the recent episode "Follow that Egg!", in which he was insanely jealous of Kyle for working on a school project with Wendy, and was convinced that Kyle had a relationship with her.

She also hates Cartman, although in the Season 4 episode, "Chef Goes Nanners", she temporarily fell in love with him and kissed him.

Wendy became the fifth member of Cartman's boy band Fingerbang, after wowing the boys with a song, similar to the popular euphemistic Miss Susie rhyme.

Wendy's very presence and prominenece suggests that one day Trey and Matt might do an episode bringing Stan and Wendy back together.

When asked during a staff chat on South Park Studios if Stan and Wendy would ever be brought back together, Matt Stone replied that their love seemed to be written in the stars, but it is as if the world conspires to keep them apart. He wasn't exactly sure about it though.

Some say that Wendy's name refers to testing the popular fast food chain's burgers. According to the commentary to Weight Gain 4000 [link],however, Wendy is named after Wendy Westaburger, the wife of a friend of Matt Stone.

Wendy does not have a big part in season 3. Not any of the episodes of Season 3.
