Boundaries
Wentworth constituency consists of the northern Borough of Rotherham and part of the Borough of Barnsley. It borders the constituencies of Barnsley East and Mexborough, Barnsley West and Penistone, Don Valley, Rotherham, Rother Valley and Sheffield Hillsborough.Boundary review
Following their review of parliamentary represenation in South Yorkshire, the Boundary Commission for England has created an extended Wentworth constituency to include electoral wards from Barnsley. This new Wentworth and Dearne will be fought for the first time at the 2009 or 2010 election.The electoral wards used to create the new constituency of Wentworth and Dearne are;
- From Rotherham - Hoober, Rawmarsh, Silverwood, Swinton, Wath and Wickersley.
- From Barnsley - Dearne North, and Dearne South
