Werner Erhard and Associates
Encyclopedia : W : WE : WER : Werner Erhard and Associates
Werner Erhard and Associates or WEA was (from February 1981 until 1991) a successor organization to Erhard Seminars Training and predecessor organization to Landmark Education (http://www.landmarkeducation.com).
The Timeline below outlines the various name changes and incorporations along the way to becoming Landmark Education. Previously, the organization had been known as Breakthrough Technologies, Transnational Education Corp, The Centers Network, and Rancord Company, Ltd..
It is possible that these many name changes were due to a methodology known as "margolis schemes"[link], named after Werner Erhard and Associates's attorney Harry Margolis.
Clarification, alleged The United States IRS [settled] a tax dispute with Erhard by paying him $200,000 for wrongful disclosure of false information. However, this decision was later overturned on February 8th, 1995, by the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, in the case: "Werner H. Erhard v. Commissioner Internal Revenue Service"[link]
