Weselan

Weselan is a fictional character in the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind.

Description

Weselan is a member of the Mud People, wife of Savidlin and the mother of Siddin. During Richard's first visit to the Mud People village, Weselan accepted Richard and Kahlan into her home with gracious hospitality, despite Kahlan being a confessor, even if it was because Savidlin had insisted. Still, she did not show coldness when she had the chance, unseen by her husband, to do so. She had the kindness not to show her fear of the confessors by allowing her son, Siddin, to sit wide-eyed on the floor with Kahlan and listen to stories of kings and castles and of far-off lands, and fierce beasts, without pulling him away.
