Wheels Magazine is an Australian automotive magazine which was founded in May 1953 by a young writer called Athol Yeomans who with the help of a colleague planned the first copy of wheels in a stationery room of Hudson Publications in Sydney for the start wheels was the first Australian car magazine to appear in local newsagents and was a best seller from the start compared to European and American publications available and the lack of Australian car magazines increased this factor of popularity. Wheels was also the first magazine that was daring to actually road test cars. In the 1950s, road testing cars was something of a rarity as major makes did not allow it and since 1953 has built a strong reputation of being honest and telling the motoring enthusiasts and potential car buyers of Australia.

Wheels Magazine is well renowned by Australian car enthusiasts. It's main competitor within the Australian market is Motor Magazine.

Sweden

There is also a Wheels magazine in Sweden. The Swedish magazine mostly deals with hot rods and custom cars. [link]

There is a magazine called [World of Wheels], which sometimes might be referred to as Wheels.
