Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin On is a song, written by African American singer/songwriter Dave "Curly" Williams and white pianist/singer Sunny David. Before the famous version was recorded by Jerry Lee Lewis in 1957, the song had been recorded in completely different styles by "The Commodores" (no relation to the '70s Motown group), Big Maybelle, Delores Frederick, and by co-writer Roy Hall (Sunny David). It has also been recorded by rock 'n' roll singer Elvis Presley.
