William Bingham Baring, 2nd Baron Ashburton (June 1799March 23 1864) was the son of the Hon. Alexander Baring, 1st Baron Ashburton and his wife Anne Louisa Bingham.

He married his first wife, Lady Harriet Mary Montagu on April 12 1823, and she died on May 4 1857.

Baring remarried Louisa Caroline Stewart-MacKenzie on November 17 1858. His daughter, Mary Florence, was born on June 26 1860 at Bath House, Piccadilly, London — the site now occupied by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority.

He briefly held office as Paymaster-General in Robert Peel's Conservative government of 1841–46.
