Woo-Woo

Woo-Woo or sometimes just, "Woo" is a derogatory label used by many in the skeptic community against paranormal, occult, or pseudoscientific phenomena. Like an increasing number of formerly pejorative labels, "Woo-Woo" has been more recently reclaimed by some, to use affirmatively. In this sense, it is usually used in reference to one's ability to conjure "magic" or simply one's "mystical power" (as in accessing one's woo-woo).

Origin

Although it has been suggested that "Woo Woo" is intended to imitate the eerie background music of sci-fi/horror films and TV shows, the exact origin of this term is not certain.
