Woody (Debian)

Woody is the codename for the Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 distribution. It was named for Sheriff Woody from the film Toy Story.
It was the stable version from July 19th 2002 until June 6th 2005, when Debian 3.1 (sarge) took over.

Hardware Architectures
Release History
Woody was the first release of Debian GNU/Linux which was ported to HP PA-RISC, Intel IA-64, MIPS and MIPS (DEC), and IBM S/390 architectures.
After the release, woody was actively supported, and 6 point releases were made before switching over to sarge:

- [Debian GNU/Linux 3.0r2] was released on November 21st 2003
- [Debian GNU/Linux 3.0r3] was released on October 26th 2004
- [Debian GNU/Linux 3.0r4] was released on January 1st 2005
- [Debian GNU/Linux 3.0r5] was released on April 16th 2005
- [Debian GNU/Linux 3.0r6] was released on June 2nd 2005, four days before the release of sarge.
