Great Woolstone and Little Woolstone are two historic villages in the New City of Milton Keynes, now called jointly Woolstone or The Woolstones.
The name 'Woolstone' is Anglo Saxon in origin, and means 'Wulfsige's farm'. In the Domesday Book of 1086 the area was recorded as Wlsiestone.
