There are two hockey World Cups, one for ice hockey and two for field hockey (male and female editions).
- World Cup of Hockey is the ice hockey World Cup, which is held at irregular intervals, and was previously known as the Canada Cup. It is organised by the NHL and the IIHF.
- World Hockey Cup is the field hockey World Cup, which is now held every four years, between Olympic years. It has two editions, one for men, and one for women, and is organised by the FIH.
