Written on the Wind is a 1956 film starring Rock Hudson and Lauren Bacall, directed by Douglas Sirk. The film's real focus is on two supporting characters played by Dorothy Malone and Robert Stack. Both were nominated for Academy Awards with Malone winning. Many consider this Stack's best performance.

Written on the Wind is also the name of movies title song, by Sammy Cahn & Victor Young.
