Xyr can also be spelled xir or xer, xem can be spelled xim, and xemself can be spelled ximself.
Advantages of xe, xyr, xem
Xe rhymes with both he and she, xyr rhymes with her, and xem rhymes with him. There is one pronoun that rhymes with the female and one that rhymes with the male which makes it more neutral. The subject pronoun, which is probably the "main pronoun", rhymes with both.
Disadvantages
The letters x and y are both subject to multiple pronunciations, not only within English but in other languages that use Roman letters. It is not at all clear to a first-time reader what these pronouns are supposed to sound like. One possibility is /z/, like other English words that start with x; another is /ð/, making it an alternative spelling of the singular they.
