Yakovlev Yak-43

The Yak-43 is one of the most advanced S/VTOL fighter aircraft ever designed. It is stealthy and fast, able to make Mach 1.7 and is as or more manoverable than the MiG-29.^{[[Citing sources citation needed]]} Although the Russian Navy has expressed interest, they do not currently have the money to buy any units of this type. It is possible that another country (such as India) might purchase this aircraft to replace their own British made Sea Harriers.

Yak-43 is a development of Yak-41M equipped with NK-321 engines.
