The Yarrow M class were a class of 10 destroyers built for the Royal Navy that saw service during World War I. They were based on the standard Admiralty M class, but were redesigned by the builder, Yarrow Shipbuilders. Generally, they had two instead of three shafts and funnels and a straight stern. Two knots faster than the Admiralty M type, despite less installed power and 1 less shaft, Jane's Fighting Ships describes them as "very successful boats". Moon, Mounsey and Musketeer were fitted to carry a kite balloon.
