Yau Tsim Mong District

Yau Tsim Mong District (Traditional Chinese: }) is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. It is located in the west of Kowloon. Population (2000): 295,700. Its name is the acronym of three of its areas: Yau Ma Tei, Tsim Sha Tsui, and Mong Kok. It is a very busy area that covers a large part of the Kowloon peninsula.

Yau Tsim Mong District was formally two districts: Yau Tsim District and Mong Kok District.

Transportation

Five rail lines serve this dictrict.

The area is served by the Tsuen Wan Line, Kwun Tong Line, Tung Chung Line and the Airport Express of the MTR metro system, as well as by the KCR East Rail.
