Yetta Zwerling Silverman (December 25, 1889http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9D03E2D81138F93AA25752C0A964948260January 17, 1982) was born in Kalievo (Choliv), Galicia, Austria-Hungary (now Ukraine) and starred in movies during the 1930 and 1940 eras.

She emigrated to the US to complete her scolarity and to enter the vaudeville industry, first in English, then in Yiddish.
