The Ymir is a character from the 1957 film 20 Million Miles to Earth.

The Ymir is a Venusian creature brought to Earth. The spaceship carrying it crash-lands off the coast of Italy. Once exposed to the terran atmosphere the Ymir grows at an astronomical rate. It goes on a rampage through Rome, wrestling an elephant and smashing up the Colosseum before it is killed.

The stop-motion animation for this film was undertaken by Ray Harryhausen.
