The Yokohama Municipal Subway consists of the following lines:

Lines 1 and 3 are currently operated together with trains running through from Shonandai to Azamino. At 40.4 km, this is the second-longest subway in Japan after the Toei O-Edo Line in Tokyo.

The following lines are under construction:

Line 4 is scheduled for completion in 2007. It will form the first part of the planned Yokohama Loop Line.
