Yongin houses several universities. There are Yongin University, noted for its sports courses, Myeongji University's Yongin Campus (The other is in Seoul.), Hankuk University of Foreign Studies' Yongin Campus (The other is in Imun Dong, in Seoul's Dongdaemun Gu.), the Police University, Kangnam University (named for the university's former campus at Gangnam-gu in Seoul), and a planned new campus for Danguk University in Jukjeon Dong, in Suji-gu. A Korean Folk Village, the largest and most expensive to visit of the many around the country, is in Yongin. It is oft-visited, largely because of its proximity to Seoul and Suwon, but is considered more artificial than others in the country.
