Biography

Yoram Globus is a film producer and financier who, along with his cousin, Menahem Golan (born Menahem Globus) bought the Cannon Group production company in 1979 and ran it throughout the 1980s. Because of their fast, low-budget style of filmmaking, they earned the nickname "the Go-Go Boys". However, quite a few of the films produced by the Cannon Group have become quite renowned, including Mona Lisa (1986) and Godfrey Reggio's second film of the "Qatsi" trilogy, Powaqqatsi (1988). The Cannon Group's library of films is now part of MGM.
