Yorkshire-Tyne Tees Televison was created in 1992 from the merger of Independent Television broadcasters Yorkshire Television and Tyne Tees Television.
It was taken over by Granada Television in 1997, forming Granada Media Group.
ITV plc later accquired Granada Media Group.
