Yr is an abbreviation for "your"/"you're" started by the Beat Poets. Sometimes it is clearly an abbreviation, complete with a period ("yr.") and sometimes it looks suspiciously like the abbreviation for "year." Sonic Youth used this abbreviation for a number of their titles.
