Yusa Tsugumitsu

Yusa Tsugumitsu (????-1581) a retainer of the japanese clan of Hatakeyama during the Sengoku Period of the 16th century. Tsugumitsu served under the Hatakeyama of Noto province. Tsugumitsu became a part of a certain consipirency against Hatakeyama Yoshitaka and during the year of 1574 the latter ended up being poisoned and murdered. Tsugumitsu then sent hostages to that of Uesugi Kenshin of Echigo province. However, after Noto was invaded by Kenshin following the year of 1577, Tsugumitsu submitted. Tsugumitsu was left in charge of Nanao Castle after Kenshin's departure from Noto. Tsugumitsu later accepted the authority of the Oda clan. Having attained the displeasure of Oda Nobunaga during the year of 1581 in some unknown form, he was murdered.
