Encyclopedia : Z : ZE : ZEN : Zentri

Zentri is a free, open-source CMS (Content Management System). It was developed by a person, who goes by the username "Kenetix", for use on his personal website [link]. It was initially based on the PHP-Nuke CMS created by Francisco Burzi. It is a complete web site management system that is run using PHP and a database, such as MySQL. By design Zentri is modular, meaning it can easily have new features built on to it by other developers. In Zentri these are called plugins. The advantages of plugins is that they can be removed or added easily, giving the webmaster the ability to decide how small or large Zentri is. Zentri allows visitors to the site the ability to post news, download files, submit files for download, submit links, post in the forum, become a member of the site, and much more. Zentri does have multilanguage support but as-of-now no translations have been made. The current stable release of Zentri is version 2.1.
