Zoé Oldenbourg

Zoé B. Oldenbourg (1916 - 2002) was a historian and novelist.
She was born in Saint Petersburg and grew up in Russia. At the age of 9 she was taken by her mother to France, where she spent the rest of her life.
A specialist in the history in the medieval history of France, in particular the Crusades and Cathars, she turned this knowledge to the production of several references and novels. Prominent among these are La Pierre Angulaire and Argile et Cendres (published in English as "The World is not Enough").
