What Is Zoiig?
Zoiig is a very fast growing, innovative web design and hosting company based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
How Zoiig Came to Be
The founder and head of Zoiig, Paul Still, began his career in web design and programming in 1994 going business to business in Tuscaloosa's downtown area. In 1996, he secured enough funds to set up an independent, one man operation in Tuscaloosa. In 2000 he started to work with a group called campus rag, which relied heavily on guerrilla marketing. After working with campus rag for approximately 1 1/2 years, Paul left and created Trucking Jobs Inc.
Trucking Jobs Inc. began with the site EveryTruckJob.com, the only free employment service on the web. EveryOwnerOperator.com and EveryTruckingSchool.com soon followed.
Trucking Jobs Inc. helped Paul get enough of a reputation to secure investor support and found Tuscaloosa Design Company between mid 2002 and early 2003. After two years of increasing success Paul bought out his partners in the summer of 2005. He began phasing out Tuscaloosa Design Company and slowly bringing Zoiig Digital Media Specialists, a company that competes nationally, into existence.
What Makes Zoiig Worthy of A Spot On Wikiepdia?
Zoiig is notable because of it's rapid development and innovative practices. The company contains a team of programmers, a team of designers, and a sales team. These teams are growing significantly and the company's emphasis on creative ability and vision over text book practices have facilitated this growth.
The company takes a "round table" approach, where no one in any department is above anyone else. There are no offices or cubicles, but rather large, spacious rooms where everyone can interact with each other without leaving their chairs or waiting for email of a phone response.
Another reason that Zoiig is growing so fast is that they are a very customer oriented company. Zoiig employees travel to clients all around the South East for free consultation about what Zoiig can do for their company's needs. Beyond their willingness to travel, Zoiig focuses on how to help their client's make money, regardless of how much those clients can pay Zoiig. Zoiig creates high quality websites for "mom and pop" companies with few funds and even student organizations (that have almost no funding)on the University of Alabama's campus. Paul Still's ideas about customer service over quick money is another reason the company is being sought after for web solutions and web based marketing services more and more.
Where Does Zoiig Operate?
Zoiig's main area of operation is in the lower South East (Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Atlanta, etc.), but is also steadily expanding up the East Coast. Plans to open an office in Indiana are almost complete and Zoiig should be entering the Mid West market by the end of August, 2006.
Who Are Some of Zoiig's Clients?
DCH Medical, Bill Lunsfod Construction, TotalComm Marketing, West Alabama (Tuscaloosa) Chamber of Commerce, Tuscaloosa ADFED, many small businesses, and several student organizations on the University of Alabama campus.
